About this site

My name is Vincent. This blog contains the concrete thoughts, opinions, and inspirations from a crazy computer programmer and avid video gamer. Thus, posts are more than likely in a random order...

Light Table is and IDE that has a very clean and minimalist look and feel to it. Written by Chris Granger, it has been in development for a while, thanks to its successful Kickstarter campaign.

When I last picked tried out the alpha, I couldn’t really use it because it wasn’t playing nice with Linux compositing effects. The latest release seems to have cleared that up.

Currently it has support for Clojure and JavaScript. I’m mostly waiting on the Python support.

That being said, I’m making it my go to editor for web development (since Eclipse bogs down) due to its Zen-like view.

Hoping this project develops well. Can’t wait to see the end result.

Light Table (Kickstarter)

A new IDE that has some great philosophy on how programmers should be working with code versus the current standards.

Nervous Structure by Cuppetelli and Mendoza

About the project:

Nervous Structure is a series of site-specific, interactive installations consisting of string and fabric structures illuminated with interactive computer graphics that react to the presence and motion of viewers.

The piece consists of three planes that intersect: the physical plane (the structure), the virtual plane (the projection) and the perceptual plane (the viewer and his/her interaction). It is in these various points of intersection that the piece works, and our interest lies in the perceptual problems that arise within these intersections.

See some samples of them in motion here:
