Minecraft - Who are the testers?
So, since the recent updates for Minecraft, 1.6 to 1.6.4, a lot of people on forums and even here on Tumblr are up in arms about how this recent major update has broken gameplay and such. People are finding bugs and trying to make themselves heard.
One point that struck me was a comment that went around the lines of the following:
“Don’t they [Mojang] test their code?”

Mine-RP minecraft server
So, I’ve been hopping around various Minecraft servers to see what others do, how people manage things, and get a feel for the community there.
My most recent time went to fellow Tumblr mcvillage’s Mine-RP (website) server. EDIT: Ok, its not their server, but I found it through them.
I’m assuming that their new server is a beast, considering it can handle 40 players....

How is that relevant? Well, that’s what my iPod shouts out whenever I get an email… It’s rather hilarious if it goes off during class, at least for everyone else.

Bukkit RB...
As server admins are waiting for a stable Bukkit Recommended Build (or shot the gun and are using the unstable one…), I noticed that the Bukkit team updated the build numbers to include the highest Minecraft version. It’s a small thing, but it’s still appreciated.
Once a build comes out for 1.6.x, I will definitely be updating my server…
